My Last Evening of Peace...

Before the Christmas visiting extravaganza! Starting tomorrow, sports bar at 1:00 with Mom's side of the family, Irish-Catholic=Raging Drunks! Good times though, since it takes the focus off of my own drunkeness at family functions! 2 years ago I stood on a chair to take a panoramic picture of the family, and fell off the chair and promptly onto my ass. I'm sure we'll have to rehash that one again, as if they've never done some stupid shit! It will be fun though, unlike when we go to the BTIL's, where it's painfully obvious that I'm the only one having any fun, hence, I must be going to hell!

Then back to the homestead for a quiet evening of baking cookies (prepackaged dough, of course!) for the now lactose intolerant Santa! Ever since the kids saw The Santa Clause, our Santa gets rootbeer (Jim hates milk anyway, so it works out) Then we'll send the spawn off to bed, and work our magic!

9:00am Christmas Morning: Get up and immediately drive 3 hours round trip to pick up T, it's our turn to go and get her, we switch off every other year...then back to the homestead again where I will whip up a turkey dinner for the fam, my mother (who will be blasted by that time) and Jim's brother and his wife and spawn.

Then Monday, because I simply do not have the time before that, we will hook up with my two brothers and one's wife and spawn, and do a little exchange with them...then at 4:30 I'll be off to work, with I'm certain more to write about. It's been kinda slow around here without the work gossip, hopefully something huge will happen (not on my shift, please, but right before, so it will still be the talk of the town by the time I get there!)

If I don't have time to post, Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a wonderfully smooth holiday...I say that because I'm sure we all have some disfuncion somewhere in our families!
