Finally, Freedom!
I got my hub and kids up bright and early yesterday, I was completely excited about a whole day to myself!
The kids traipsed off to the bus stop, and promptly came right back.
Me: What are you doing, you're gonna miss the bus! (panicking, clearly)
Spawn: Nobody's coming
Me: What do you mean, nobody's coming?!? you've only been there for 30 seconds!! (desperately trying to get them back out the door)
Spawn: Nobody's lights are even on!
So I check the school website, and no, they didn't go back yesterday, today is their first day back, and, get this: they have early release today, uh, hello?? They just had more than 2 fuckin' weeks off!! Early release??? Jeezus.
Me: Dang it, you don't go back till tomorrow...
Spawn: Don't you love us? (seriously)
I start laughing, tell him yes, of course I do, I was just looking forward to maybe taking a nap today, blah blah...
So I had to take them out to breakfast to make up for the fact that they could see the disappointment on my face when I found out there was yet another day of no school.
But today, ahhhh, blissful silence...I've already cleaned all my fish tanks, done the dishes, started some laundry, and it's only 7:30! I get soooo much more stuff done while they are gone, it's crazy.
Now I'm waiting for a phone call from my car dealership to tell me that my truck is ready, I cannot wait! I never did post a pic of it being wrecked, but when I get it back I'll post one of it in all it's "brand new front end" glory!
Maybe I'll evendrink go out for lunch today! Free until 1:15 or so! Whoot!

wow! We are SO on the same wavelength! I just sent my kids off and posted! I was so eager to have the house to myself! Freedom!
No doubt...however, I've been so busy anyway that I haven't really had a real day to myself. Maybe next week, I hope!
