Meet my new best friend...

Isn't he cute? Not only that, he's smart too. I'm a little slow in the TiVo department, I just got it Friday, a little anniversary gift for me and the Hub, from me and the Hub!

I'm completely outta control. I spend more time searching for shit to record than actually watching anything, I record shows and movies,
just because I can.

Spawn was watching "Blade Trinity" today, and I had to run to the store. Needless to say, he didn't want to stay here, but also didn't want to miss his movie. We ran to the store, came back, and rewound to the part we left on! How totally freakin' sweet is that?!?!

I'll never miss Lost, The Sopranos, The L Word, Survivor, ever again! I now can have a life, instead of, "Jeez, I can't possible go out tonight, [insert favorite show] is on, I can't miss it!"

I would marry TiVo if I could...I love him.

If you're a little slow, then I'm completely in the dark ages.
Oh, and broke.
Got any unused video tapes?
*wink*

Kissmequikly: I was almost embarrassed to be so excited about something I was sure everyone already has! Thank Gawd I'm not the only technologically-behind person!! (No on the tapes, I upgraded to DVD last year!)

SRG: I got it thru Directv.com, it's $99 with a $100 rebate! Whoot! Oh, and $5.99 a month.

Mike: I'm finding that is the case, I've watched 2 things, I've taped about 20!! I still have like 80% of my memory space left though!

Tivo is the most totally fabulous invention since sliced bread. Better, actually, because it doesn't go stale if you forget to close the wrapper. John and I had Tivo before we moved to Alaska, but then found it cost prohibitive up here (2k just to get up and running with Direct TV was the quote we got). Anyway, after being deprived of DVR goodness for a year, we finally upgraded to a new computer with Windows Media Center. Works the same way as Tivo, but doesn't tape things it thinks I might like. Got my fix just in time. Someone once told me that once you get Tivo, you'll never want to go back. It's true. Welcome to the club. One of us...one of us...

I think it would be fair to say that your life now seems complete. I'd kill for one of those things. Well, not kill, exactly but close dammit...

Niles: I tell you what, it's worth the investment, you spend less money cause you are at home watching tv instead of going out!

The Mrs.: Welcome! I can't believe 2K?? What, do they think Alaskans are made of money or something??

Lady Muck: Welcome, also! It's worth nearly killing for, I tell ya...

Kissmequikly: You win, you have a dually...I've never had one of those, I'm jealous now! I do have a DVD burner for illegally copying rentals though...hee hee.
